Cellier des Dauphins Côtes du Rhône Prestige Red (Rhône/France)
Area of production: On the clay and chalky-clay soils of the southern "Drôme" and northern "Vaucluse" in the Rhône river valley.
Of interest: Cellier des Dauphins that translates into "Cellar of the Princes" is the best-selling Côtes du Rhône
wines in France. In a region famous for quality wines, the 36 year old "Cellier des Dauphins" stands out as the largest, best known and
most widely distributed Rhône brand with a production of more than five million cases annually.
The winery takes its name from the location of its vineyard, which originally belonged to the son of the King. Today, "Cellier des Dauphins"
has expanded to 30,000 acres worked by 3,600 grape growers. This co-operative uses "Cellier des Dauphins" as its main brand and produces
fully 25 percent of France's AOC Côtes du Rhône. and Côtes du Rhône Villages.
Tasting notes: Deep red berry color with a fruity and floral bouquet. Rich fruit, spice and pepper flavor.
Excellent structure and balance. Long finish. Pairs well with game, grilled and roasted meats, and hard cheeses.
Serve at room temperature 65°F.
